We're not aware if BMW has anything new to show and tell in regards to the i8 or (more likely) if it's just placing the hybrid coupe on display at its New York Auto Show stand this week, but Carscoops' reader Michael R. happened to cross paths with the Bavarian firm's transporter as it was unloading the vehicle in front of the Javits Center and snapped these photos.

This particular example is finished in a Protonic Blue metallic color with Frozen Grey metallic accents and the optional 20-inch LM W-spoke rims with mixed tires.
