Lexus Reveals LF-LC Blue Concept Down Under

The gorgeous LF-LC Concept is continuing its world tour in an effort to show the world that Lexus has some real design talent. And yes, it's now painted blue.

After the rave reviews Lexus received for its stunning LF-LC Concept from last January's Detroit Auto Show, the automaker knew right away that it needed to further capitalize on its design breakthrough. Simply put, Lexus proved that it has the design and stylistic vision to go above and beyond anything it's previously done. Lexus won't be for conservative tastes forever and now the LF-LC is making waves at the Australian International Motor Show.

Aside from the new blue paint job, Lexus has actually given it a drivetrain this time. Called the Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, the powertrain consists of a high-energy battery pack that's combined with a gasoline engine for a total output of 500 horsepower. All other interior and exterior design elements from the original concept carry over, though the interior has been given an update along with the new coat of paint on the outside. Lexus believes this concept is a clear preview to the future of high-end sports cars and that it hints at what we can expect from the brand in the future in terms of design and engineering.

For now, Lexus hasn't confirmed whether the LF-LC will reach production, but there have been a few indicators along the way that a new GT sports car is in the mix. Not to be confused with the LFA supercar
