The aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 brings huge weight savings. Ford claims that its use of aluminum in the body and the bed reduces weight by 700 pounds while the frame is still made of high-strength steel for strength and durability.

Carefully crafted inside out !

The SuperCab and SuperCrew four-doors have great space to match up with the usual five-and-a-half, six-and-a-half, and eight-foot beds.

There are loading ramps that lock into the bedsides, for easy ATV loading; a BoxLink system that fits cleats and brackets to the bed so that it can be divided and so cargo can be anchored; LED lighting in the cargo box; and a deployable bed step.

Safe??

The F-150 earned the IIHS' Top Safety Pick+ award, since it offers forward-collision warning systems to go with its stout body. A rear view camera is standard on most higher-end trim levels, and the F-150 can be fitted with surround-view cameras, an especially good idea for long, bulky vehicles when they're not in their native home-improvement habitat.

Engines include a 3.5-liter V-6, a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 or 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, and a 5.0-liter V-8. The 2.7 hustles this truck to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 14.3.
