Guinness World Records can today confirm British stunt driver Alastair Moffatt has won back the title for tightest car parallel parking after bettering Han Yue’s seemingly unbeatable record. The Gloucestershire wheelman, who has held the record on two occasions previously, managed to slide his way into a gap measuring just 7.5cm longer than the Fiat 500C 1.2 Cult he was driving during an attempt which took place at the Birmingham NEC earlier this year. After verifying evidence provided by Alastair's team, Guinness World Records has approved the attempt as a record with the incredible display of driving skill beating Chinese driver Han Yue’s previous benchmark of 8cm. Managing Director of Stunt Drive UK and super car engineer, Moffatt has been competing in motorsport since the age of 12. He has held nine national championship titles in Autotesting, a form of motorsport featuring various stunt driving techniques. "Being a Guinness World Record holder for the tightest parallel park is a dream come true,” said Moffatt. "I can remember watching ‘Record Breakers’ on TV as a child and hoping I would be able to hold a record someday. This record is one of the more prestigious driving records and I'm delighted to be part of the story of this record!" The 36-year-old is also the current record holder for Tightest gap driven through on two wheels and the Tightest triple parallel park.
