Mini unveils a trio of home-from-home models aimed at the young and adventurous (and those too cheap to pay for accommodation). The world’s smallest luxury camper van, a caravan for two, and a roof-top tent are all ways Mini is attempting to target “enthusiastic” travelers. Having failed to convince small business owners its Mini Clubvan was the ideal bit of kit to transport their gear in, Mini hopes its Clubvan Camper, Countryman ALL4 Camp and Cowley Caravan will tempt campers and festival goers to ditch their roomy campervans in favor of something much smaller.

The Mini Clubvan Camper comes with sleeping for one and a dainty kitchenette with propane stove and chest fridge to keep lone travelers rested and well fed, while a portable sat-nav, TV and heater will ensure they never got lost, bored or cold. A small glass panel replaces the roof, supposedly for star gazing purposes, and an integrated hand-held shower complete with water tank housed beneath the load floor ensures the driver maintains a respectable level of hygiene. The Mini Cowley caravan comes with all mod cons, including two sleeping berths, gas stove, sink and water tank, fridge, TV/DVD/audio equipment, and solar module to charge an on-board battery. But the piece de resistance (as they say in the UK) is a teardrop-shaped trailer with sliding doors and windows as a throwback to classic Minis.
