Aston Martin’s new CEO Andy Palmer jumped in head-first this week at the Paris motor show. The V12 Vantage S Roadster and the Vanquish Coupe Carbon special edition both made their European debuts.

The V12 Vantage Roadster speeded up to 565 hp, 457-lb-ft drop top stable and smooth over the mountain roads outside Los Angeles. Top speed is rated at 201 mph and the sprint to 60 mph takes 3.9 seconds.

The show car is in a color called Diavolo red, and the interior gets carbon fiber, leather details and “Q by Aston Martin” badges.

Aston’s other show cars are the Vanquish Carbon Black and Carbon White special editions. The brand’s top GT car also has a top speed of more than 200 mph.

The Carbon editions feature 10-spoke gloss-black alloy wheels, black window surrounds and black headlight trim pieces. The interior will receive Alcantara and dark leather, anodized black speaker grilles for the Bang & Olufsen audio system, quilted seats and carbon fiber trim pieces for the sills and the center console surround.

Buyers will also get a choice of black, red, yellow, or gray brake calipers. Engine power stays at 568 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque.

The V8 Vantage N430 is sharing the spotlight at Aston Martin’s display area, as is the Rapide S sedan.
