Beverly Hills Cops Get a Ferrari FF

Think twice before speeding through the swank LA neighborhood of Beverly Hills, lest you find this black-and-white Ferrari looming large in your rear-view mirror.

Think twice before speeding through the swank LA neighborhood of Beverly Hills, lest you find this black-and-white Ferrari looming large in your rear-view mirror.

Law enforcement officials around the world face the same challenge: budgets are limited, but the speeders they chase down seldom are. Most deal with that challenge with upgraded versions of everyday family sedans, but some authorities get more exotic machinery.

Examples we've recently reported on include a custom KTM X-Bow specially prepared for the Monaco gendarmerie and a Lamborghini Gallardo used by the Italian state police, but this latest example has popped up in no less prestigious a municipality than Beverly Hills.

This Ferrari FF has been decked out in two-tone black and white livery with red-rimmed Forgiato wheels. The 6.3-liter V12 apparently remains untouched, but with 660 horsepower on tap, no modifications were required.

While it may look the part, the all-wheel-drive Prancing Horse won't actually be finding its way into the local police motor pool. It was done up by Californian rental agency Black & White (appropriately enough) as a publicity stunt. The company notes that it's a regular supporter of the local police charity, which may or may not get them out of a ticket for impersonating a police officer - or in this case, a police vehicle.
