New Maserati Ghibli unveiled in Beirut

G.A. Bazerji & Sons, the official distributor of Maserati in Lebanon, had the pleasure to host an exclusive Italian evening event for media and VIPs at Le Cercle boutique, Downtown Beirut, to celebrate the launch of the all-new Maserati Ghibli. With the Ghibli Maserati enters the E-segment by combining breath-taking design with exceptional handling qualities and outstanding performance. Making inspirational motoring more accessible, Maserati's new 4-door sports executive sedan appeals to the heart, the head and the soul.

The launch marks a turning point in Maserati's history giving the Italian marque two concurrent four-door sedan models for the first time in its 100-year history. The Ghibli provides a cornerstone in Maserati's plan to build 50,000 cars a year by 2016. It is the second model after the flagship, the Quattroporte, to be manufactured to new benchmark quality standards in Maserati's new state-of-the-art production facilities in Grugliasco close to Turin.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Amaury La Fonta, Marketing Director at Maserati's regional office, said: "The Ghibli demonstrates all those values that you expect from a Maserati at the high-end of the full size sedan segment: class-leading Italian style and a unique Maserati driving experience that make it the first authentic sport executive sedan by Maserati". Mr. Nabil Bazerji, Managing Director of G.A. Bazerji & Sons, added: "The Ghibli is the sportier interpretation of a Maserati limousine. A car suitable for both business and leisure time, that uniquely combines everyday usability with the feeling that you're driving something truly special."

Both versions of the petrol range, Ghibli and Ghibli S, which is also available as a Q4 four-wheel drive version, feature a new-generation twin turbo-charged 3.0-litre V6 engine and an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. With its power output of 410 hp the Ghibli S races to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 285 km/h.
