Imagine how terrifying the world would be if all of its cabbies got to drive supercars. The regular cab ride would never be the same again.The taxis featured here are slightly faster than what a typical cabbie drives. These cabs were spotted all over the world and offered rides ranging in price from free to God knows how much.

Italdesign-Giugiaro made it easier to get around Rome by turning its Quaranta concept into a taxi. The hybrid sportscar is powered by Toyota's hybrid 3.3-liter V6 engine found in the Lexus RX400h.Solar panels were fitted to the roof to ensure that the taxi stayed juiced throughout the day. The Quaranta taxi has 268hp and a 0 to 60 time of 4.2 seconds.

Virgin Media celebrated the launch of its 100Mb broadband service by sending a trio of supercar taxis to London.The trio was comprised of a Porsche 997 Turbo Gen 1, Ferrari 430 F1 Coupe and Aston Martin DBS. The supercar taxis provided free rides to anywhere in Central London for one magical six hour period.
